my sister
Her name is Miki, which means "future" in Japanese.
She is 7 years older than I am, which means she is 27 and working at a pharmacy as a pharmacist.
when I was child, she always took care of me insted of my mother, who was busy ay work.
As you can guess from her job, she is very good at math while I'm bad at it, so I often asked her to help my math homework.
After she had graduated from University and started working, we hardly ever hung out like we used to be.
When I remember now, it was kind of sad but I was too busy with diving practice to think about it at that time.
Although she is a type of person who is a bit selfish, I think she is the most considerate and appreciative in a family.
Here is a hart-warming story.
One day, I find my mother decorating a bouquet on a table.
I asked her why she got a bouquet on that not special day.
Then she explained me that the bouquet was sent by my sister and the reason was that she became the same age as my mom was when she gave birth to her.
(I wish i could explain in a better way...hope you understand...)
In case of my explaination was bad like nobody understand..
the detail is..
My mom gave birth to my sister when she was 21years and 150 days old.
and my sister sent Mom a bouquet when she was 21 year and 150 days old with a message which said appreciation of rising her for a long time.
when I heard this story, I was actually moved...
there is no Japanese word like "shau" in Chinese, but I can see "shau" in my sister for sure.
I would miss her after she gets married...

what i afraid of.
I used to be a swimmer and not Im a diver.
Although swimming and diving are both individual sports, I like something like a "team" for example, wearing a team track suits, bathing suits or something like that.
I'm very proud of being a member of a team and training with the same coach.
I had noticed Canadian or westan diver change thier coach quite often; however, I cant imagine changeing a coach becasue it is not so common in Japan.
There is one more reason i don't want to change.
it is because I have the best coach I have ever met in my whole life.
It is not an exaggeration.
He is the best. I had never thought that I could meet sach a perfect coach but i did.
I met a perfect coach in Calgary.
I'm so glad to train with him.
I'm so proud of being his diver.
Of course, some people say something bad about him but I disagree.
He is the best for sure.
I totaly trust him and I want him to coach me forever...
I can believe everything what he says.
However,
there is one thing im afraid of.
when i trained in Japan, i liked to be coached by other coach because i can find mself from a different way.
But Now, I don't want anyone to coach me except him.
when he is absent, my motivation is a half...
i even feel like it s not worth to go training if he was not there.
when other coach coach me, I find myself thinking about my coach's correction.
I can't find myself like what i used to do before.
I cant believe other coach because i believe my coach sooo much...
I know to believe something/someone is very important but...
I feel I'm narrowing my world.
I don't want to be a diver who cannot believe any other coaches because of too much trust in my coach...
do i trust him too much...?
im very happy to have him as my coach but im afraid...
I'm not saying that i don't wanna believe him but...
I dont know if i had exprained well but im afraid anyway...

The best friend
I cant even remember the last time i was sick!
maybe...5 years ago...?
Im really really really healthy girl...
i cant believe...
hear my voice,, it s like an old woman!
Im absent from school today and stying at home all day.
While i was sleeping, my host mother nocked the door and woke me up.
I was like "leave me alone...please!"
but anyway,
I opened the door.
She was holding a box and said "This is to you"
it seemed to be send by someone in Japan.
then i opened the box and took inside out of the box.
I couldn't believe it.
Guess what i recieved!
a loooooot of Japanese snacks!
it was from my best friend.
We are both love Green tea.
we used to go to a green tea trip to Kyoto, where is known as a capital of green tea in Japan.
What she sent me was all green tea stuff!
I forget that im sick...haha
she sent me a letter as well.
I would like to talk about our relationships.
We know each other for 8 years.
We went to the same junior high, high school and University.
We are both in sports and we were both captains of teams.(swimming and Karate)
We were both said that we were tough.
However, the turth is...
we both are not tough at all.
Just thinking we WANT to be tough.
We both pretended to be tough because others around us said we were tough.
We both couldn't say anything to others about our inside ploblems.. because we are...
We should be tough....in front of peaple.
maybe we are tougher than others, or maybe not.
Maybe we will keep pretending to be tough.
Maybe others will keep thinking that we are tough.
But the biggest difference is that there s a friend who understand me.
I'm glad to have a friend like her.
Even if we are in a different place and we are not facing each other,
Im sure she is the best friend.
Anyway, i should go to bed!!
Im sick of being sick!!haha

Learn to Dive!
Im going to write how to dive with conjunctions I learned today in Writing class.
--------------------------------------------
Befor i start , I will give girls a caution about a bething suits.
I recommend wearing a competitive bathing suits not a bikini because the impact when you get into the water is much harder than you think.
it s said that it's a ton of the impact if you jump from 10m platform so the impact can take your bikini off...
In fact, my bathing suit is always turned over every single time no matter how tight it is.haha (but just a little!)
Anyway, Im going to tell you about my favorite dive, front 2 and a half somersaults.
First, concentrate and remember what coach says to you last time.
and then, start approching.(walking on the board=hurdle)
While you are approching, keep your balance by holding your tummy tight.
When you reach the edge of the board, listen the sounds of the bouncing board in order to land to the board perfectly.
Just before you land to the board, swing arms and set in the proper position, which is the side of your ears.
When you set your arms, don't drop your head down.
Next, swing arms down stright as you are taking off.
As soon as you take off, take a pike position.
Feel the speed of your somersault on the air while you are spinning.
And then, make sure you watch the surface of the water so that you can check if you are short or over.
Remember, don't open your pike too early unless you feel you are spinning very fast.
Finally, come out your pike position before you set your arms for entry.
it is important to make your entry clean and keep body straight.
Keep your elbows straight when your hands hit the water.
Point toes and keep stamach tight until your body is all in the water.
After that, listen cearfully to advices of your coach and keep it in your mind for next dive!
And repeat the same steps again and again and again.........until your coach says you are done!
-------------------------------
How did it sound?
Does it sound boring or interesting?
One dive takes only 3 seconds so every motions seems to happen at the same time; however, there are steps in each movement, for example, hurdle, take off, come out, enrty etc.etc..
I can never dive the same dive.
Every dive is different even if it looks the same.
That s why diving is so interesting.
That s why I love diving.

Victoria
this competition was something special to me although that was much much smaller than last time which was international competition in Montreal because i went back to school from Jan and i didnt have enough time to practice.
Moreover, I had shinsplints so i didnt do regular work out as what i was doing before.
it was the first time in my whole diving life to think "i dont wanna compete.."
i was so stressed out before i went to this competition. i was going to die..i mean...seriously.
I was away from diving on 3m because my arm hurt too.
when i started 3m again, i couldnt fell the same way as before. i felt like i lost in the air when i was spinning.
when it happaned, i recalled what my English teacher told me " if you dont use it, you loose it."
it was about English, but i felt that "I lost it" of course, it is diving skill.
since then, everything was killing me. everything. i d never thought in that way.
what i like, what i dont like, what im good at, what im bad at...EVERYTHING.
I normaly love training but i was affraid of practice becasue i didnt want to feel that my diving skill was getting worse..
I was very afraid..
Now, competition s over...
What i learned from the competition is that i can do anything by thinking in positive way.
every fall dive is not because of my shin or luck of work out.
it is sometimes because of my way of thinking.
there are a lot of things that can be changed by thinking in positive.
i ve never be satisfied with my diving.
I always thinking that im bad, be better or something like that.
of course, it is important to think in that way because it s kind of motivation.
However, i realized (actually my friend told me)that it sometimes makes you suffer from thinking too much.
That s right.
what i need to do is to thank my family, coaches, friends, teachers and teammates, who are supporting me to stay healthy and continue diving in Calgary.
Thank you so much for haveing me as a happy diver, everyone.
I attached pictures of pool I competed and 3 little lovely divers in my team.
